Personality development in India is considered to be the relatively stable set of thoughts, feelings, and behavior which makes human beings different from others. Today personality psychology assumes a dominant view or theory that personality is established in early childhood stages and there are changes during the life of the individual.
The differences are big enough at birth, and many adult personality traits may have their roots in what a newborn is like, before language and conscious self-representation. Individual variations in behaviour and disposition or temperament are also apparent early in life.
Since neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness are regarded as “big five” personality traits that have been mapped onto facets of childhood temperament, it could therefore be reasoned that all of them begin with individual differences early in life.
