Description

Residential buildings can offer useful cover in ARC Raiders, but a doorway can become a trap when you enter without knowing how to leave. Whether you are gathering supplies or looking for ARC Raiders BluePrints, a quick look at the surrounding streets and exits can make the difference between a clean departure and a desperate fight.

Choose an Exit Before You Enter

Pause outside and study the building’s shape. Note the entrance you intend to use, any visible ground-floor doors, and windows that might provide a route out. Check the spaces immediately beyond those exits as well: a doorway is less useful if it opens onto an exposed street with no nearby cover.

Choose a primary way out and a backup before moving inside. Keep their directions in mind as you explore, and avoid letting a promising room pull you too far from both. If your route depends on crossing a long hallway, consider whether you would have enough room to retreat under pressure.

Treat Stairwells as Exposed Spaces

Stairs connect several levels, so a player on one floor may be visible from another. Approach from the side when possible and pause before crossing the opening. Listen for movement, then check the area you can see without lingering in the center of the stairwell.

Do not rush upward simply because a sound suggests another player is nearby. If you cannot account for both the landing above and the floor behind you, return to a room with better cover or move toward an exit. A staircase is a route, not a position you need to hold.

Use Cover Without Losing Your Route

Interior walls, furniture, and doorframes can break lines of sight, but cover becomes a problem if it blocks your escape. Move between positions that let you watch a likely approach while keeping a path behind you. Avoid stopping in the middle of a room with several open doorways.

Close-range visibility changes quickly indoors. Check adjoining rooms before committing to a corner, and leave enough space to move if pressure arrives. When a position offers cover from one direction but exposes you to two others, it is time to find a better one.

When Threats Arrive from Two Directions

Imagine hearing footsteps upstairs just as movement appears outside the front entrance. Standing in the hallway could leave you exposed to both. Instead, move into a nearby room with solid cover, keeping away from windows facing the outside threat. From there, listen for the upstairs player and check whether a side or rear exit remains clear.

If that exit is accessible, move toward it without crossing the stairwell or front doorway. Once outside, use nearby cover to create distance and reassess. If no safe route is visible, stay behind cover briefly and wait for a clearer opening rather than committing to a fight from the hallway.

A good building route is flexible: enter with options, keep track of changing threats, and leave before your position closes around you. Players who buy ARC Raiders Bps can still benefit from the same careful movement whenever a route leads indoors.
